"If we come in knowing that we're the hardest working team on the ice, we should be able to pull out the win," Gilchrest said. "We're definitely all about hard work. I wouldn't say that we're the most talented team, but we'll outwork you. That's really resulted in our wins so far." The confidence of the team is at an all time high. The same can be said for senior captain and goaltender Luke Gilchrest, who pitched back to back shutouts in the playoffs to capture the CMass. title. "He's played amazing," said Colvin, who along with fellow defensemen Brett Young, Bobby Denaro and Joey Tavis have solidified Nashoba's suffocating defense. "You're not going to lose if they don't score. He's pulling it out, playing amazing and smothering everything." When asked if Luke Gilchrest is currently playing his best hockey in between the pipes at just the right time of the season, Colvin replied: "By far." Nashoba's offense also is playing real well, especially the potent first line of freshman center Bryce Chaput and seniors Kevin Gilchrest and captain Jack Charbonneau. "I've got a talented young guy who can put the puck in the net and two seniors playing with him," Short said. Senior captain Hunter Boudreau centers the second line with wings Mike Magliozzi and Devyn Barrett. The third line has Matt LeBlanc centering Trevor Sicard and Dan Kerble. Starting fast and claiming the lead in the first period is the way Nashoba has handled its business in the postseason. "We've been in the playoffs for three years, and we know that if you get down it kind of sucks the confidence out of you," Kevin Gilchrest said. "So it's really important to score first. We've been coming out every game amped up. Once you get that goal, you keep building off that confidence."
